Once you go through the court system, it will get tied up there for some time to come,&rdquo; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In some ways, it was good for the Trump administration that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/stop-destroying-our-institutions-chuck-schumer\/\" title=\"Stop Destroying Our Institutions, Chuck Schumer\">court didn&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t get into the specifics of that, because it gives them an opportunity to kind of buy some time and figure out what they&rsquo;re going to do,&rdquo; DeAngelis added.<\/p>\n<p>She argued that in the meantime, Trump used the IEEPE levies to negotiate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/media-reporting-trumps-tariffs-cost-americans-1000-ignoring-overall-savings-policies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">several trade agreements<\/a> this year, including the tariff rates that would be in effect, meaning they largely already served their purpose.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The president accomplished what he wanted with the tariffs. The sweeping tariffs that he put out brought everyone to the table. They negotiated. He got some of those non-tariff trading barriers to be removed from these countries.
