Trump said shortly after the ruling was announced, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2026\/02\/20\/donald-trump-tariff-supreme-court-reaction-00791245\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He also took further particular umbrage with Gorsuch and Barrett.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I think it&rsquo;s an embarrassment to their families, you want to know the truth &mdash; the two of them,&rdquo; he said of the two justices, after reporters asked whether he regrets nominating them.<\/p>\n<p>This 6-3 ruling has understandably rankled Trump, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-joe-biden-slips-and-refers-to-kamala-harris-as-president-elect-saying-quiet-part-out-loud\/\" title=\"WATCH: Joe Biden Slips and Refers to Kamala Harris as \u2018...-Elect\u2019\u2026 Saying \u2018Quiet Part\u2019 Out Loud\u2019?\">economic plans<\/a> for the U.S. leaned heavily on tariffs.<\/p>\n<p>And now the president has at least one damning theory as to why the Supreme Court he helped shape went against one of his biggest campaign policies.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s my opinion that the court has been swayed by foreign interests and a political movement that is far smaller than people would ever think,&rdquo; Trump said, according to the U.K.&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2026\/feb\/20\/trump-tariff-scotus-response\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guardian<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While Trump did not provide any evidence for his claim, he did have an interesting response when reporters asked for some.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;You&rsquo;re going to find out,&rdquo; he told reporters, according to Politico.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I think that foreign interests are represented by people that I believe have undue influence,&rdquo; Trump elaborated, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/supreme-court\/live-blog\/-trump-tariffs-ruling-supreme-court-live-updates-rcna252655\/rcrd101264?canonicalCard=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a>. &ldquo;They have a lot of influence over the Supreme Court, whether it&rsquo;s through fear or respect or friendships, I don&rsquo;t know.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Trump would then further attack &ldquo;the other side.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;But I know some of the people that were involved on the other side, and I don&rsquo;t like them,&rdquo;
