It centers on colbert’s plan to interview Texas state Rep. James Talarico, one of three Democrats in the Senate primary, arguing that Colbert’s final weeks will be used to boost Democrats with unprotected free airtime. The article recounts colbert’s claim that network lawyers warned him against airing the interview, suggesting FCC equal-time concerns, while CBS says the interview wasn’t prohibited but that equal-time considerations could apply if other candidates were not given a chance to appear. It highlights broader questions about media fairness, citing Brendan Carr’s warnings and past enforcement cases to argue that the <a href="https://www.conservativenewsdaily.net/breaking-news/fcc-commish-kamalas-snl-appearance-specially-designed-to-evade-federal-regulations/" title="... It references analyses showing a strong liberal tilt in late-night guest bookings and notes that Democrats have historically favored exemptions for certain show formats, while critics say those exemptions can be used to tilt coverage. The piece calls for the FCC to enforce equal-time rules consistently to prevent one party from gaining an unfair advantage, arguing that Colbert’s approach—and similar practices on other programs—could influence elections. The article closes with a warning that preserving fair access to the public airwaves is crucial in a critical election year.

The days are numbered for Stephen Colbert’s little late night show on CBS. He played the role of political censorship victim, noting Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr has warned the broadcast networks that they could face consequences if they don’t stop their late-night hosts from pimping for Democrat politicians.

And, yes, corporate media outlets painted Colbert as the free speech warrior the pompous host believes himself to be.
