Steve Toth in a competitive primary without the president&rsquo;s public support. The congressman did not receive an endorsement from Trump in 2024, but was able to defeat a primary challenge from Republican Jameson Ellis.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> has reached out to the White House for comment. <\/p>\n<p>With Texas early voting open, an endorsement from the president could make or break Crenshaw&rsquo;s reelection bid.<\/p>\n<p>Crenshaw&rsquo;s district will look different in this year&rsquo;s election than it did in 2024, due to the Trump-backed <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/redistricting\/\">redistricting<\/a> effort in the Lone Star State. The new map creates 30 Republican-friendly congressional seats, compared to just eight districts favoring Democrats, resulting in a five-seat boost for the GOP from its current 25-13 advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Toth&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >home district falls<\/a> within the newly drawn 2nd Congressional District in Texas under the new maps. Toth has argued Crenshaw is not conservative enough in his bid to unseat the four-term incumbent.<\/p>\n<p>Much of Crenshaw&rsquo;s <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/crenshawforcongress.com\/news\/\">&ldquo;news&rdquo; tab<\/a> on his campaign website focuses on his challenger, aiming to protect his own record and target Toth.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Lone Star State has the first primary of the year on March 3, launching the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2026-election\/\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/history-repeats-itself-democrats-are-using-tactics-of-the-marxists-of-1917-in-russia-to-steal-2020-election\/\" title=\"History ...eats Itself: Democrats Are Using Tactics of the Marxists of 1917 in Russia to Steal 2020 ...\">midterm elections<\/a><\/a>.
