BCA Superintendent Drew Evans called the FBI\u2019s refusal \u201cconcerning and unprecedented\u201d and said the agency would continue seeking relevant records. He added that the BCA remains willing to share facts and would welcome a joint investigation if the FBI\u2019s position changes. Evans described the development as &ldquo;concerning and unprecedented,&rdquo; and pledged to continue to pursue &ldquo;all legal avenues to gain access to relevant&rdquo; records.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Our agency has committed to the FBI and Department of Justice that should its stance change, we remain willing to share information that we have obtained with that agency and would welcome a joint investigation,&rdquo; he said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>In an investigation probing a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >similar lethal encounter<\/a> with ICE, in the Renee Good case,&nbsp;the Trump administration argued that state investigators <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/4417351\/federal-prosecutor-minnesota-fraud-scandal-resigns-us-attorney-office\/\">did not hold jurisdiction <\/a>over the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>State Democrats had expressed concern that the FBI&rsquo;s investigations into Pretti and Good would be biased due to statements the Trump administration made before the inquiry unfolded.&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/4435532\/trump-alex-pretti-not-acting-assassin\/\">A top adviser<\/a> to President Donald Trump claimed Pretti was an &ldquo;assassin,&rdquo; while Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem characterized Pretti and Good as domestic terrorists immediately after the shootings.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/in_focus\/4457305\/tom-homan-becomes-trumps-de-facto-dhs-secretary-absolutely-saved-the-day\/\"><strong>TOM HOMAN BECOMES TRUMP&rsquo;S &lsquo;DE FACTO&rsquo;
