The operation followed the detention of a person of interest and was described as lasting several hours, with coverage spreading on social media. reports indicated the searched residence belonged to the detained individual, and a video from Arizona\u2019s Family showed a woman claiming investigators were at her home because her son-in-law was being questioned in Guthrie\u2019s case. We&rsquo;re asking the public and media to avoid congesting the area.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The residence being searched is that of the person who was detained, according to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/live\/cq6vegjlzjmt\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A video on X <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MacColsonTV\/status\/2021457583710879809\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">posted<\/a> by &ldquo;Arizona&rsquo;s Family&rdquo; producer Mac Colson showed a woman claiming that law enforcement officials were searching her house as part of the Guthrie investigation. She said that her son-in-law was being questioned by police &ldquo;in connection with Guthrie&rsquo;s disappearance.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;BREAKING: Woman tells reporters that authorities are searching her home in Rio Rico,&rdquo; read Colson&rsquo;s post. &ldquo;She says her son-in-law, Carlos, is being questioned by police in connection to Nancy Guthrie&rsquo;s disappearance. She says Carlos is a delivery man for FedEx.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The woman in the video expressed shock at the police presence at her house and at the search of her home. She said she didn&rsquo;t know why they were doing so, and also that she had nothing to hide.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/crime\/4453615\/person-of-interest-detained-nancy-guthrie-abduction\/\"><strong>PERSON OF INTEREST DETAINED FOR QUESTIONING IN NANCY GUTHRIE ABDUCTION CASE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know, they came to us that somebody gave a tip that the lady was in my house,&rdquo; the woman in the video said in reference to Nancy Guthrie. &ldquo;We don&rsquo;t know, we don&rsquo;t know her at all. I don&rsquo;t know who she is, I don&rsquo;t know anything about her. They only said that they gave a tip that she was in my house and I told them &lsquo;you can go in and search my house, there&rsquo;s nobody there. I have nothing to hide, there&rsquo;s nobody in my house, and I don&rsquo;t know what&rsquo;s going on.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They&rsquo;re investigating my son-in-law; he&rsquo;s got nothing to do with that either,&rdquo; she responded to a question from a reporter. &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know what else to say. They&rsquo;re just invading my property, and I told them, they&rsquo;re going in and out of my house, taking a lot of pictures and everything. Like I told them, we&rsquo;re not hiding anything.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Early Wednesday morning, the detained man, Carlos, was released from police custody, the <em>New York Times<\/em> reported. In a video <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NickAtNews\/status\/2021500488479576122\">posted<\/a> on X, he denied any wrongdoing, saying he was innocent.
