\t\t\t\t}); \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Judge Christina Snyder, a Clinton administration appointee, ruled on both of those Monday, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/federal-judge-blocks-california-law-forcing-ice-agents-remove-masks-during-operations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The &ldquo;No Secret Police Act&rdquo; sought to unmask ICE agents when they are performing immigration enforcement operations.<\/p>\n<p>While Snyder agreed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/crockett-slammed-for-saying-police-dont-exist-to-prevent-crime\/\" title=\"Crockett slammed for saying pol... don&#039;t exist to prevent crime\">law enforcement doesn&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t <em>need&nbsp;<\/em>masks to perform their duties, California&rsquo;s application of this was faulty.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Court finds that federal officers can perform their federal functions without wearing masks,&rdquo; Snyder said.<\/p>\n<p>She then explained: &ldquo;However, because the No Secret Police Act, as presently enacted, does not apply equally to all law enforcement officers in the state, it unlawfully discriminates against federal officers.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>While Snyder granted a preliminary injunction against the &ldquo;No Secret Police&rdquo; act, she was fine with letting the &ldquo;No Vigilantes Act&rdquo; continue unabated.<\/p>\n<p>In short, the &ldquo;No Vigilantes Act&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/l-a-sheriff-says-he-cant-disclose-tiger-woods-crash-findings\/\" title=\"L.A. Sheriff Says He Can\u2019t Disclose Tiger Woods Crash Findings\">requires law enforcement<\/a> to show their agency affiliation and some sort of personal identifier (i.e. a badge number) on their uniforms.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the split decision, both sides of the argument took a victory lap after what Snyder ruled on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>California Gov. Gavin Newsom &mdash; an outspoken progressive and widely assumed to be a 2028 presidential candidate &mdash; outright called Snyder&rsquo;s ruling a &ldquo;win.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;A federal court upheld California&rsquo;s law requiring federal agents to identify themselves &mdash; a clear win for the rule of law.
