Arlington County police arrested the suspect on Jan. 22 after he was extradited <span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">from&nbsp;Maryland to <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/virginia\/\">Virginia<\/a>,<\/span> as he is reportedly accused of plotting to murder Vought.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We are grateful for the work of law enforcement in keeping Director Vought and his family safe,&rdquo; an OMB spokesperson told NBC News.<\/p>\n<p>Demarco was seen in Ring doorbell footage outside the front door of Vought&rsquo;s home on Aug. 10. Police were dispatched to the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/white-house\/\">White House<\/a> official&rsquo;s address that afternoon after a witness reported a suspicious person.<\/p>\n<p>He allegedly wrote a manifesto detailing his plan to kill Vought, which included disposing of the body.
