Arlington County police say Demarco was arrested Jan. 22 after being extradited from Maryland to Virginia; he is held without bond and is slated for a preliminary hearing Feb. 23.He was seen in Ring doorbell footage outside Vought\u2019s home on Aug. 10; investigators <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >recovered digital evidence<\/a> showing he had obtained directions to the residence, had information on a relative\u2019s firearms, and posted online discussions soliciting others to murder the victim, along with a manifesto detailing the plan to dispose of the body. Demarco reportedly told federal agents that Donald Trump\u2019s victory represented the \u201clowest point\u201d in his life and that the Trump administration would lead to a \u201cfascist takeover.\u201d The case comes as Vought, a key author of Heritage Foundation\u2019s Project 2025 policy blueprint, faced scrutiny from critics. Police were dispatched to the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/white-house\/\">White House<\/a> official&rsquo;s address that afternoon after a witness reported a suspicious person.<\/p>\n<p>He allegedly wrote a manifesto detailing his plan to kill Vought, which included disposing of the body.
