Slotkin, a former CIA officer, notes she is under federal examination for taking part in a joint video message to the intelligence community and U.S. military members about not being obligated to follow illegal orders, a move that drew pushback from the Trump administration. She sent a letter to Bondi and Pirro declining the interview, arguing she does not want to legitimize the administration\u2019s actions and accusing them of intimidation designed to silence dissent. In a post on X,Slotkin said she would not comply and asked that all records in the case be retained,asserting that while presidents have near-immunity,that protection does not extend to those who act on his bidding. The piece also notes that Sen. Mark Kelly, who also appeared in the video, filed a lawsuit against War Secretary Pete Hegseth and others over <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >retirement-grade reduction<\/a> and a censure letter. The other Democrats cited as part of the \u201cseditious six\u201d are Reps. Jason crow, Maggie goodlander, Chris Deluzio, and Chrissy houlahan. She said she did not want to &ldquo;legitimize&rdquo; the Trump administration&rsquo;s actions.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;To be honest, many lawyers told me to just be quiet, keep my head down, and hopefully this will all just go away. But that&rsquo;s exactly what the Trump administration and Jeanine Pirro want,&rdquo; Slotkin said in a video on X. &ldquo;They are purposefully using physical and legal intimidation to get me to shut up. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), who also participated in the viral November video, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/defense\/4415063\/mark-kelly-sues-pete-hegseth-retirement-grade-reduction\/\">filed a lawsuit last month against War Secretary Pete Hegseth<\/a>, the War Department, the Navy, and Navy Secretary John Phelan over the fallout from his participation.
