Aides Will Defy ...s From Pelosi\u2019s January 6 Commission: Report\">threatened action<\/a> over his claim that she moved in Epstein-associated circles, and he proclaimed, \u201cBring it on!\u201d He argued that a lawsuit would reveal Trump\u2019s long relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and that the American public would be horrified by what it would uncover. Wolff also admitted to pressing Epstein to share data about Trump to influence him. The <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >piece notes prior defamation disputes surrounding<\/a> a Daily beast article that claimed Epstein introduced Melania to Trump, a claim that prompted threats from Trump\u2019s side and a response from Melania\u2019s camp; Hunter Biden later repeated the claim, prompting a cease\u2011and\u2011desist letter from Trump&#8217;s counsel. The Daily beast subsequently apologized and retracted the statements, with the publisher\u2019s letter calling Wolff a \u201cserial fabulist.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-narration-container=\"true\" id=\"post-body-text\">\n<p>Author Michael Wolff responded to President Donald Trump&rsquo;s threat of a lawsuit by essentially daring him to go through with it &mdash; and then he claimed that he would be the one to come out on top if such a lawsuit were actually filed.<\/p>\n<p>Wolff explained in an Instagram video that he would love nothing more than to be able to subpoena both the President and first lady Melania Trump &mdash; and that he&rsquo;d have standing to do so if either of them ever filed suit against him.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DUOVK6GEXZZ\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>&ldquo;I woke up this morning and found that last night, Donald Trump had threatened to sue me again. I think this is the third or possibly fourth time the president of the United States has threatened to sue,&rdquo; Wolff began, referencing Trump&rsquo;s most recent threat &mdash; made aboard Air Force One &mdash; to sue him for &ldquo;conspiring&rdquo; with the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n<p>Wolff admitted to pressing Epstein for information, claiming that he&rsquo;d done so in order to convince the disgraced financier to give up any information he had on Trump: &ldquo;Yes, I tried to encourage Jeffrey Epstein in any way I knew how to come forward with what he knew about Donald Trump.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The author went on to note that he had already filed suit against first lady <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/melania-threatens-hunter-biden-with-1b-lawsuit-false-defamatory-disparaging\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Melania Trump<\/a> &mdash; after she&rsquo;d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/seattle-suburb-backs-down-from-ban-on-abortion-clinic-protesters\/\" title=\"Seattle Suburb Backs Down From Ban on Abortion Clinic Protesters\">threatened legal action<\/a> against him for claiming that she had traveled in the same circles as Epstein &mdash; and said that if the president made good on his threat, he would be able to subpoena both Trumps.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This lawsuit gives me the power to subpoena Mrs. Trump, Mr. Trump, and all their friends &hellip; <span>Bring it on!&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;I believe that if the American public knew the real nature of Donald Trump&rsquo;s long relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, they would turn away in horror and revulsion. So sue me. Let&rsquo;s sue each other.&rdquo;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I have nothing to hide, but Mr. President, you surely do,&rdquo; Wolff declared.<\/p>\n<p>Wolff said that Melania Trump threatened legal action months earlier after he authored an article for The Daily Beast claiming that Epstein had been the one to introduce her to the president.
