Savannah Guthrie asked for prayers on Instagram,invoking faith and hope for her mother\u2019s safe return,as a press conference with the sheriff\u2019s office is planned to provide updates.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-narration-container=\"true\" id=\"post-body-text\">\n<p>Today Show host Savannah Guthrie is asking everyone to pray for her mother&rsquo;s return as the search for Nancy Guthrie continues.<\/p>\n<p>Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said he believes Nancy Guthrie was taken from her home over the weekend in a &ldquo;possible kidnapping or abduction&rdquo; just outside of Tucson, Arizona. Nanos told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/news\/savannah-guthrie-mom-missing-arizona-rcna257021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a> on Monday that Nancy was taken from her bed, but he later clarified he meant figuratively.<\/p>\n<p>Information remains limited during the active investigation, which Nanos is calling a crime. Sources told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/savannah-guthrie-mother-nancy-blood-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS News<\/a> on Tuesday that blood was found in Nancy&rsquo;s home. It&rsquo;s not clear whose blood it is, but CBS reports it is being tested.<\/p>\n<p>Nanos confirmed that possible DNA is being tested as well.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We took some samples that we hope will have enough profile of a DNA profile that gives us some identification of what we&rsquo;re looking at,&rdquo; Nanos told NBC News.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/chicago-vindicated-after-jussie-smollett-sentenced-for-malicious-hoax-hate-crime-mayor-says\/\" title=\"Chicago \u2018Vindicated\u2019 After Jussie Smollett Sentenced For \u2018Malicious\u2019 Hoax Hate ..., Mayor Says\">sheriff added<\/a> it could be days before there is any conclusive evidence from the DNA samples.<\/p>\n<p>In another development, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2026-02-03\/blood-inside-home-nancy-guthrie-today-host-savannah-guthrie-mother\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Los Angeles Times<\/a> is reporting signs of forced entry into Nancy&rsquo;s house.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Savannah Guthrie spoke out on Instagram late Monday, asking for prayers to bring her mom home, as this troubling case unfolds.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We believe in prayer. We believe in voices raised in unison, in love, in hope. We believe in goodness. We believe in humanity. Above all, we believe in Him,&rdquo; Savannah wrote.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. Raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment. We need you.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Today Show host added the following Bible verse, &ldquo;He will keep in perfect peace those whose hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord,&rdquo; before concluding, &ldquo;Bring her home.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Savannah&rsquo;s mother was reported missing on Sunday, around noon, after a church friend called Nancy&rsquo;s family, letting them know she didn&rsquo;t show up for service.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/today-show-hosts-mom-missing-her-home-now-an-active-crime-scene\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>RELATED: Today Show Host&rsquo;s Mom Missing, Her Home Now An Active Crime Scene<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nancy&rsquo;s belongings, including her phone, wallet, and car, were all still at the house in the Catalina Foothills just north of Tucson.<\/p>\n<p>The sheriff added that Nancy isn&rsquo;t in good physical health but has &ldquo;no cognitive issues,&rdquo; is &ldquo;very alert,&rdquo; and is &ldquo;very sound of mind.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Police do not know at this time if Nancy was targeted because she is Savannah&rsquo;s mother, and added they aren&rsquo;t aware of threats aimed at Savannah after speaking with her, per NBC.<\/p>\n<p>Nanos said in a press conference on Monday that he doesn&rsquo;t think the public is in danger.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;So we make a plea to anyone who knows anything about this, who has seen something, heard something, to contact us,&rdquo; Nanos said. &ldquo;Call 911. We don&rsquo;t need another bad, tragic ending.
