While the majority of House Democrats and 21 Republicans opposed the measure, it was carried by a unified GOP conference and 21 crossover Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >comprehensive package secures long-term funding<\/a> through September 30, 2026, for 11 of the 12 annual appropriations bills, covering vital departments such as Defense, Labor, Health and Human Services (HHS), and Education. <\/p>\n<p>To break the stalemate over the final remaining bill, lawmakers agreed to fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) only through February 13<sup>th<\/sup>. <\/p>\n<p>This 10-day stopgap provides a narrow window for both parties to negotiate the Trump administration&rsquo;s immigration enforcement policies and potential new &ldquo;guardrails&rdquo; for ICE operations.
