After all, in a comment about illegal immigration, Obama admitted that he had no choice but to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sen-kennedy-u-s-has-idiot-control-problem-not-gun-control-problem\/\" title=\"Sen. After all, not even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/npr-claims-trumps-ice-detaining-american-citizens-turns-record-blows-obamas-ice-water\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Obama&rsquo;s<\/a> justification for immigration enforcement could persuade those who have chosen rationalization over reason.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the rest of us know exactly what brought Democrats to this place of hysteria and hypocrisy.<\/p>\n<p>First, at some point, Democrats discovered that illegal immigration boosts their electoral chances. So they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/2024-election-biden-says-quiet-part-loud-reason-border-invasion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opened the borders<\/a> and welcomed people they perceived as their future voters.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, that discovery might have occurred during Obama&rsquo;s administration. By 2014, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/flip-flop-white-house-concedes-obama-shift-immigration\/story?id=27006363\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC News<\/a>, the then-president had flip-flopped on his obligation to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jonathan-emord-states-must-sue-biden-and-invoke-the-guarantee-clause-to-secure-the-border\/\" title=\"Jonathan Emord: States Must Sue Biden  Invoke The Guarantee Clause To Secure The Border\">enforce existing immigration laws<\/a>. The timing of the change, however, matters less than the change itself.<\/p>\n<p>Second, Trump rose to political power in large part by promising to fix the immigration problem Democrats created. If Trump supported it, they <em>had to<\/em> oppose it.<\/p>\n<p>In short, Trump might win over a few wavering independents by reminding them of Obama&rsquo;s words.
