Spoke with him,&rdquo; Plaskett responded five minutes later.<\/p>\n<p>The newly released files showed Plaskett contacting Epstein to secure campaign donations in 2017 and 2018.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2018, Plaskett texted Epstein, writing, &ldquo;I know you&rsquo;re tremendously busy. Thanks so much for taking time and sharing ideas and thoughts. I appreciate your support and hope I&rsquo;m not presumptuous to consider you a friend,&rdquo; according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/02\/us-news\/dem-usvi-delegate-stacey-plasketts-ties-to-jeffrey-epstein-detailed-in-latest-doj-dump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Privileged&nbsp;to be called friend [sic],&rdquo; he replied.<\/p>\n<p>On May 13, 2019, Epstein wished Plaskett a happy birthday. She asked how he knew the date.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;You told me when you were in my office,&rdquo; Epstein replied. She then reponed to him that, &ldquo;You&rsquo;re good.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Epstein replied, &ldquo;No I&rsquo;m bad, but I&rsquo;m thoughtful.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2025\/11\/14\/epstein-text-messages-cohen-house-hearing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington Post<\/a> reported last year that during a February 2019 hearing, Epstein texted Plaskett, writing &ldquo;Great outfit&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;You look great,&rdquo; he texted at 10:22 a.m. &ldquo;Thanks!&rdquo; she said in reply.<\/p>\n<p>The Post said one minute after Plaskett was on TV making chewing motions, Epstein asked her, &ldquo;Are you chewing[?]&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Not any more,&rdquo; she replied. &ldquo;Chewing interior of my mouth. Bad habit from middle school&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>One minute after Plaskett finished questioning former Trump attorney Michael Cohen at the hearing, Epstein wrote her, saying, &ldquo;Good work.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In November, the House held a vote on censuring Plaskett, but it failed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>&ldquo;No one who turns to a convicted predator for input on how to conduct official business, especially in a congressional hearing, should sit on the Intelligence Committee or any committee, for that matter. This is about restoring trust in an institution that desperately needs it,&rdquo; Republican Rep.
