Waiting in the wings is a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/4423848\/musk-donates-10-million-pro-trump-kentucky-senate-candidate-nate-morris-succeed-mcconnell\/\">$10 million endorsement<\/a> that Musk made to Morris&rsquo;s Super-PAC in mid-January after the fourth quarter deadline, sure to shake up the financial state of the race.<\/p>\n<p>Cameron has <span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">led&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/polls\/kentucky-us-senate-election-polls-2026.html\">polling<\/a>&nbsp;by over 15 points throughout the race, despite his lagging fundraising&nbsp;<\/span>compared to Barr and Morris. Cameron&rsquo;s campaign manager, Nathanael Hirt, said his team is focused on the fact that it has been winning in the primary polls.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We will have the resources to win because we&rsquo;re already winning. Poll after poll shows Daniel Cameron is the best-known and most well-liked candidate in this race, across every type of voter. While others talk about potential, we&rsquo;re living in the reality of winning,&rdquo; Hirt said in a statement to the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>But Barr&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/newsom-holds-indoor-event-at-restaurant-barred-from-offering-indoor-dining\/\" title=\"Newsom Holds Indoor Event at Restaurant ...ed From Offering Indoor Dining\">campaign communications director<\/a>, Alex Bellizzi, is pointing to Cameron&rsquo;s slipping fundraising numbers, pitting his total Q4 contributions against Democratic fundraising leaders Marine veteran <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3838382\/ex-marine-amy-mcgrath-launches-run-kentucky-senate\/\">Amy McGrath<\/a> and racehorse trainer Dale Romans.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Daniel Cameron already embarrassed Republicans by <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/2443639\/kentucky-gov-andy-beshear-survives-challenge-from-republican-daniel-cameron\/\">losing a statewide race<\/a> to Democrats&mdash;even with President Trump&rsquo;s endorsement. Now, he&rsquo;s being outraised four-to-one by <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00922302\/1943284\/\">Amy McGrath<\/a> and two-to-one by <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00925578\/1944098\/#SUMMARY\">Dale Romans<\/a>, after raising less than $300,000. Nate Morris, meanwhile, is statistically tied with radical Democrat [former state Rep.] Charles Booker, the [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] of Kentucky, in general election <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kentucky.com\/news\/politics-government\/article314061118.html\">polling<\/a>,&rdquo; Bellizzi said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Andy Barr is the only candidate dominating Democrats in the polls, surging with grassroots momentum, and raising the resources needed to take this race off the map for Democrats in November,&rdquo; Bellizzi continued.<\/p>\n<p>President <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\">Donald Trump<\/a> has yet to endorse a candidate in the closely watched race, making it likely that he will not weigh in before the May 19 primary. Each of the three candidates has sought to distance themselves from McConnell while campaigning as the most pro-Trump candidate.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s no wonder why Nate has all the momentum in the race, is rising in the polls, and continuing to coalesce support from across the[[<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/make-america-great-again\/\">Make America Great Again<\/a>]movement: Nate is the only political outsider and <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/america-first\/\">America First<\/a> conservative in the race,&rdquo; Conor McGuinness, Morris campaign spokesman, said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He is the only candidate who is willing to get tough on immigration and call for a full immigration moratorium until we deport every single illegal from this country.
