It focuses on Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson\u2019s attendance at this year\u2019s anti-ICE Grammy Awards, suggesting the event was treated with undue praise and that her appearance is overlooked amid left-wing critiques of immigration enforcement. The article contends that mainstream outlets and Democrats have not called for impeachment or recusal in Jackson\u2019s case, contrasting this with what it describes as a louder, harsher response if a conservative justice attended a similar event or faced comparable criticism. fleetwood argues that the left\u2019s outrage machine is silent only because they no longer control the court, and that they will seek to destroy the court when they cannot influence it. While <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >expending countless resources inventing nothingburger &#038;ldquo<\/a>;scandals&rdquo; of wrongdoing about the court&rsquo;s originalists, these so-called &ldquo;defenders of democracy&rdquo; regularly go out of their way to glamorize the body&rsquo;s leftist members &mdash; no matter how untoward or inappropriate their behavior may seem.<\/p>\n<p>That&rsquo;s the dynamic that was at play on Sunday evening, when Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson attended this year&rsquo;s anti-ICE Grammy Awards. The Biden appointee made an appearance at the event following the nomination for &ldquo;best audio book, narration and storytelling recording&rdquo; for her 2024 memoir, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2026\/02\/02\/supreme-court-justice-ketanji-brown-jackson-grammy\/88473579007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">USA Today<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>While Jackson hobnobbed with Hollywood&rsquo;s biggest snobs and received a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SteveGuest\/status\/2018150519655588176?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">favorable shoutout<\/a> from host Trevor Noah, many of the night&rsquo;s (overrated) winners used their acceptance speeches to give us their unwanted thoughts on something they know little to nothing about &mdash; immigration enforcement. From <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PopBase\/status\/2018078493939257852?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expletive-laden comments<\/a> (&ldquo;f-ck ICE&rdquo;) to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/libsoftiktok\/status\/2018208674624278543?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">embarrassing<\/a> &ldquo;land acknowledgements,&rdquo; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-bad-does-minneapolis-have-to-get-before-trump-acts\/\" title=\"How Bad Does Minneapolis Have To Get Before Trump Acts?\">leftist-led attacks<\/a> on lawful efforts to deport illegal aliens (including rapists and other violent criminals) were everything one would expect.<\/p>\n<p>And yet, despite this overwhelming display of uber left-wing partisanship, as of Monday morning, there are no legacy media outlets or major Democrats expressing outrage about Jackson&rsquo;s Grammy attendance. The same righteous &ldquo;truth tellers&rdquo; who were supposedly so concerned about non-scandals like Justice Sam Alito&rsquo;s wife <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/06\/nyts-jodi-kantor-has-a-history-of-peddling-deranged-anti-alito-hoaxes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">flying<\/a> an Appeal to Heaven flag or Justice Clarence Thomas <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/28\/propublicas-pulitzer-should-be-revoked\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">having<\/a> a rich friend now have nothing to say when Jackson attends an overtly partisan event whose attendees expressed extreme hostility to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/d-c-mayor-congress-must-open-a-probe-into-security-failures-at-u-s-capitol\/\" title=\"D.C. Mayor: Congress must open a probe into security failures at U.S. Capitol\">federal law enforcement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are no leftist calls to impeach Jackson. Nor are there any demands for her to recuse herself from immigration-related cases involving the Trump administration &mdash; <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/09\/30\/the-federalists-guide-to-the-2025-supreme-court-term\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">several<\/a> of which are before the court this term. <\/p>\n<p>The left&rsquo;s outrage machine is dead silent. <\/p>\n<p><strong>[READ:[READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/07\/democrats-ethics-smears-against-thomas-and-alito-are-so-embarrassing-they-buried-their-own-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Democrats&rsquo; &lsquo;Ethics&rsquo; Smears Against Thomas And Alito Are So Embarrassing They Buried Their Own Report<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s not hard to imagine the media-led freakout that would ensue if one of the court&rsquo;s conservative justices were to attend an awards show in which many of the winners got up and bashed Democrat politicians and their policies. (Just look at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/12\/10\/us\/politics\/emil-bove-trump-rally.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">how they<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2026\/01\/06\/emil-bove-trump-00711295\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reacted<\/a> to Judge Emil Bove attending a Trump rally.) The calls for impeachment would be so loud that it might just drown out the pathetic excuse for what qualifies as &ldquo;music&rdquo; at the Grammys these days. <\/p>\n<p>But like any leftist caught violating this faux code of conduct, Jackson will <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/joshsorbe\/status\/2018150738115846255?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">get a pass<\/a>. Without question, she&rsquo;ll keep receiving lavish praise and award nominations from Hollywood snobs and more opportunities to appear on <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/16\/while-kbj-enjoys-broadway-her-constitution-loving-supreme-court-colleagues-can-barely-leave-their-homes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Broadway<\/a> &mdash; all because she&rsquo;s considered to be &ldquo;one of the good guys.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Her conservative colleagues, on the other hand, won&rsquo;t be so lucky. They&rsquo;ll continue to be on the receiving end of <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/30\/rolling-stones-hit-piece-on-amy-coney-barrett-is-even-dumber-than-you-think\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">deceptive<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/04\/25\/politicos-hit-on-neil-gorsuch-is-another-transparent-attempt-to-delegitimize-scotus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">media info ops<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/07\/biden-threatens-supreme-court-justices-for-upholding-the-constitution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">threats<\/a> from high-ranking Democrat officials, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/04\/08\/us-news\/cali-man-pleads-guilty-to-trying-to-kill-brett-kavanaugh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">assassination<\/a> attempts, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/crime-and-justice\/commentary\/refusing-prosecute-those-protesting-supreme-court-justices-homes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">demonstrations<\/a> outside their homes, and any other consequence that comes with making judicial decisions based on what the Constitution calls for. <\/p>\n<p>None of the justices deserves any of those things. But the left has decided that such actions are now acceptable to use against the conservative justices because they no longer control the Supreme Court. And as with any institution, what leftists can&rsquo;t control, they will <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/09\/11\/if-leftists-cant-weaponize-scotus-they-will-do-everything-to-destroy-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">seek to destroy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
