Chuck Schumer.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, The Blaze posted footage on the social media platform X of Schumer speaking from the Senate chamber the same day, spouting another anti-Trump tirade. Gone are the days of their previous statements that contradict newer ones disappearing into the abyss.<\/p>\n<p>Schumer has a long history of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/anti-gun-chuck-schumer-defends-second-amendment-in-bizarre-attempt-to-own-trump-shall-not-be-infringed\/\" title=\"Anti-... ... Defends Second Amendment in Bizarre Attempt to Own Trump: &#039;Shall Not Be Infringed&#039;\">anti-gun activism easily found<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Under former President Bill Clinton, Schumer sponsored an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/103rd-congress\/house-bill\/4296\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&ldquo;assault weapons&rdquo; ban<\/a> in 1994.<\/p>\n<p>As the ban was set to expire in 2004, Schumer advocated for its renewal in 2003, looking to further restrictions as a statement posted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/justfacts.votesmart.org\/public-statement\/7318\/schumer-moves-to-renew-federal-ban-on-assault-weapons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vote Smart<\/a> website indicates.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In addition, the legislation introduced today would close a loophole in the 1994 law, which prohibits the domestic manufacture of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cnn-is-shocked-to-learn-gun-owners-arent-just-old-white-men\/\" title=\"CNN Is Shocked To Learn ... Owners Aren\u2019t Just Old, White Men\">high-capacity ammunition magazines<\/a>, but allows foreign companies to continue sending them to this country by the millions.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolicy.com\/articles\/2025\/06\/18\/anti-gun_advocates_suppressing_the_facts_1117333.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RealClearPolicy<\/a> reported that in response to Trump&rsquo;s One Big Beautiful Bill, Schumer lashed out against repealing a $200 federal tax on manufacturing or transferring firearms suppressors (commonly referred to as &ldquo;silencers&rdquo;).
