Ilhan Omar with a substance identified as water and apple cider vinegar at a Minneapolis town hall.An FBI special agent submitted the complaint and affidavit in U.S.District court in Minnesota, charging Kazmierczak with forcibly assaulting, impeding, intimidating, and interfering with Omar while she was performing her duties.According to the affidavit, Kazmierczak rushed the podium, sprayed Omar from a syringe while yelling at her, and had previously posted or told others threatening remarks about her, including a 2021 Facebook post and an alleged phone comment saying \u201csomebody should kill that b*tch.\u201d the case is assigned to Magistrate Judge Dulce J. foster; Kazmierczak was initially booked on third-degree assault and has a criminal history that includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >felony auto theft conviction<\/a> and multiple DUI arrests. Omar was callimg for Homeland Security Secretary&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/kristi-noem\/\">Kristi Noem<\/a> to resign or &ldquo;face impeachment&rdquo; when the suspect charged at her.<\/p>\n<p>Kazmierczak allegedly yelled, &ldquo;She&rsquo;s not resigning. You&rsquo;re splitting Minnesotans apart,&rdquo; as he pointed at and sprayed Omar, according to the FBI special agent&rsquo;s accompanying <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.mnd.231039\/gov.uscourts.mnd.231039.1.1.pdf\">affidavit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The affidavit details two statements Kazmierczak previously made about Omar, including a Facebook post and a comment he made several years ago to a &ldquo;close associate&rdquo; on the phone in which Kazmierczak allegedly said &ldquo;somebody should kill that b*tch,&rdquo; referring to Omar. The special agent also pointed to a 2021 Facebook post in which Kazmierczak shared a political cartoon of Omar asking for personal security while holding a &ldquo;Defund Police&rdquo; sign.<\/p>\n<p>The case has been assigned to federal magistrate judge Dulce J. Foster, who recently <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/01\/28\/us\/ice-protest-photos-bondi-social-media.html\">made headlines<\/a> for condemning Attorney General Pam Bondi&rsquo;s decision to post on social media photos of protesters who were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tim-walz-and-jacob-frey-under-criminal-investigation-by-doj\/\" title=\"Tim Walz and Jacob Frey under criminal investigation by DOJ\">impeding federal law enforcement<\/a> in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n<p>Kazmierczak was initially booked in the Hennepin County Jail on third-degree assault charges.
