Despite trailing in the primary, Stevens polls as the strongest Democratic matchup against leading Republican former Rep. mike Rogers (Stevens 47% to Rogers 42%), while McMorrow edges Rogers 46% to 43% and el-sayed ties Rogers 43%\u201343%. McMorrow has the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >highest net favorability<\/a> among the Democrats and has picked up high-profile endorsements, including Sen. Chris Murphy, even as Senate Democratic leaders have signaled a preference for Stevens. The primary is expected to be contentious, with the winner likely facing Rogers to replace retiring Sen. Mallory McMorrow over Rep. Haley Stevens for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate, according to a new poll, even though Stevens is her party&rsquo;s best bet to beat a Republican in the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2026-election\/\">general election<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An Emerson College Polling\/Nexstar Media <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/emersoncollegepolling.com\/michigan-2026-poll-crowded-democratic-senate-primary-remains-wide-open\/\">survey<\/a> found McMorrow leading Stevens, 22% to 17%. Mike Rogers, Stevens leads 47% to his 42%. McMorrow receives 46% compared to Rogers&rsquo;s 43%. Chris Murphy (D-CT), despite Senate Democratic leadership showing a preference for establishment-backed Stevens.
