Incumbent Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) criticized the decision as disenfranchising voters who elected a republican despite a Democratic registration advantage. He demanded that the bipartisan Independent Redistricting Commission redraw the map and submit a new one by Feb. 6. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY).
