He acknowledged impeachment is an &#8220;extreme measure&#8221; but argued &#8220;extreme times call for extreme measures.&#8221; Republicans have targeted judges including james Boasberg (an Obama appointee) and Deborah boardman (a Biden appointee); Rep. Brandon Gill filed articles of impeachment against Boasberg after a ruling that paused deportation flights. Brandon Gill (R-TX), a House Republican freshman, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3351368\/house-gop-moves-impeach-judge-deportation-flights-pause\/\">filed articles of impeachment<\/a> in March 2025 against Boasberg, an appointee of former President Barack Obama, for <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >temporarily blocking immigration deportation flights<\/a>. In April of last year, the House passed the No Rogue Rulings Act, which restricts the ability of judges to block federal policies nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the bill not moving in the upper chamber, some Senate Republicans are urging the House to take a stronger stance. <\/p>\n<p>Sen. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/ted-cruz\/\">Ted Cruz<\/a> (R-TX) sent a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/4410097\/ted-cruz-urges-house-to-impeach-judges-boasberg-and-boardman\/\">letter to Johnson<\/a> on Jan. 7 calling on the House to take up the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/impeachment-articles-filed-against-failed-dhs-secretary-mayorkas\/\" title=\"...
