He posted that the subpoena, which he described as &#8220;highly irregular,&#8221; came shortly after his office sued the Trump administration and accused the DOJ of politically motivated &#8220;retaliation and revenge.&#8221; Ellison accused the administration of weaponizing the justice system instead of investigating the recent killing of Renee Good by federal agents. Minnesota Gov.Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have reportedly received similar subpoenas.
