In a Substack post, Cohen explained he cooperated beginning in 2019 mainly to reduce his prison sentence and gain other sentencing benefits, and that prosecutors pressured him to give testimony that fit their narrative, sometimes using leading questions. He emphasized his intent was to criticize perceived abuses in the justice system rather than to defend Trump, and accused James and Bragg of using <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >similar political playbooks<\/a> that blurred the lines between justice and politics. The reason was simple: I wanted to do whatever I could to obtain my Rule 35(b) motion, return home to my family and resume my fractured life,&rdquo; he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>This strategy paid off, and even when he was out of prison, he sought to do all he could to lessen his home confinement and supervised release. He alleged that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/michael-cohen-coerced-by-letitia-james-and-alvin-bragg-to-testify-against-trump-2\/\" title=\"... &#039;coerced&#039; by ... and ... to testify against ...\">prosecutors behaved inappropriately<\/a> in their quest to skewer Trump.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;During my time with prosecutors, both in preparation for and during the trials, it was clear they were interested only in testimony from me that would enable them to convict President Trump. When my testimony was insufficient for a point the prosecution sought to make, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/michael-cohen-coerced-by-letitia-james-and-alvin-bragg-to-testify-against-trump\/\" title=\"... &#039;coerced&#039; by ... and ... to testify against ...\">prosecutors frequently asked inappropriate leading questions<\/a> to elicit answers that supported their narrative,&rdquo; Cohen wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The same dynamics played out in Bragg&rsquo;s and James&rsquo;s case, he argued, whether or not they were coordinating this.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Letitia James and Alvin Bragg may not share the same office or political calendar, but they share the same playbook. Both used their platforms to elevate their profiles, to claim the mantle of the officials who &lsquo;took down Trump.&rsquo; In doing so, they blurred the line between justice and politics; and in that blur, the credibility of both suffered,&rdquo; Cohen wrote.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3196550\/supreme-court-denies-michael-cohen-trump-retaliation\/\">SUPREME COURT DENIES MICHAEL COHEN&rsquo;S ATTEMPT TO SUE TRUMP FOR RETALIATION<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trump latched on to the article. He shared a report on Cohen&rsquo;s bombshell article on his Truth Social, demanding those who pressured Cohen pay a &ldquo;big price&rdquo; in response.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;These horrible Radical Left people, doing everything possible to destroy our Country, should pay a big price for this! It was a SET UP from the beginning. New York Courts, with many fair and wonderful Judges, are embarrassed by what has happened!
