The agreement, reached during Carney&#8217;s visit to Beijing &#8211; the first by a Canadian leader in nearly a decade &#8211; includes commitments from China to cut its canola seed tariff from 85% to 15% by March 1 and to <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >provide visa\u2011free travel<\/a> for Canadians. Carney also met senior executives from prominent Chinese businesses, including an EV battery maker and an energy giant.
