At its peak, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.com\/status\/verizon\/\">Down Detector reported<\/a> more than 180,000 issues. Now they can expect a text when the credit is available to them.<\/p>\n<p>The $20 amount was calculated so it &ldquo;covers multiple days of service.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This credit isn&rsquo;t meant to make up for what happened. No credit really can. But it&rsquo;s a way of acknowledging your time and showing that this matters to us,&rdquo; Verizon&rsquo;s statement read.<\/p>\n<p>Some customers responded to the offering by demanding more.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Give everyone a month off their phone bill to make this right,&rdquo; one user <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/iam_johnw\/status\/2011521016103841900?s=20\">wrote on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a disgrace, first of all it should be $100 of your bill and it should be automatic. You shouldn&rsquo;t have to log into something to get this.
