In a letter signed by Chairman Andrew Garbarino and several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pelosi-believes-house-democrats-in-good-shape-before-midterms-as-droves-are-leaving-the-house\/\" title=\"Pelosi Believes House Democrats in &#039;Good Shape&#039; Before Midterms as Droves Are Leaving the House\">subcommittee chairs<\/a>, Republicans say the device was acquired in an undercover operation near the end of the Biden administration, allegedly costing an eight-figure sum-some of it reportedly funded by what the letter calls the &#8220;Department of War.&#8221; The committee says the device can produce pulsed radio waves and contains Russian components, though it is not entirely Russian in origin. AHIs have affected U.S. government personnel with symptoms like vertigo, headaches, nausea, cognitive fog, and hearing problems, but intelligence assessments, including an ODNI report, have not conclusively identified a cause and deem foreign involvement &#8220;very unlikely.&#8221; Lawmakers have requested details by Jan. 30 on how and where the device was obtained, the exact cost, results from a yearlong testing period, and the operational purpose for the purchase. the chairmen wrote.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The exact amount of money expended to acquire the device, as well as the source and location from which HSI obtained the device, is unclear, but the total amount paid is alleged to be in the range of &lsquo;eight figures&rsquo;&mdash;which would indicate a price in excess of ten million dollars,&rdquo; the letter continued.<\/p>\n<p>Assessments from the intelligence community have not conclusively identified the cause of AHIs, with an assessment from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence saying it is &ldquo;very unlikely&rdquo; that a foreign actor used something to harm U.S. government personnel.<\/p>\n<p>The device was said to have been acquired in an undercover operation with alleged funding from the Department of War, being described as &ldquo;capable of producing pulsed radio waves and containing Russian components, though it is not entirely Russian in origin,&rdquo;
