Democratic veterans: ...Punishable by death...\">follow illegal orders<\/a>. She disclosed the inquiry in a New York Times interview, saying she was notified by the U.S. attorney&#8217;s office in the District of Columbia, led by Jeanine Pirro. The video, released in November, featured six Democratic members of Congress with intelligence or military backgrounds &#8211; including Sens. Mark Kelly and Slotkin and Reps. Chris Deluzio, Chrissy Houlahan, Jason Crow, and Maggie Goodlander &#8211; and warned that threats to the Constitution can come from inside the contry. The participants urged that &#8220;you can refuse illegal orders,&#8221; but did not specify which orders they considered unlawful. Slotkin said the investigation and related pressures pose threats &#8220;to your family; the threat to your staff; the threat to you.&#8221; Sen. The video warned that &ldquo;this administration is pitting&rdquo; military members and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/slotkin-reveals-shes-under-federal-investigation-for-illegal-orders-video\/\" title=\"... reveals she...s under ... for ...illegal ...... video\">intelligence community professionals &#038;ldquo<\/a>;against &ldquo;American citizens.&rdquo; It also warned that &ldquo;threats to our Constitution aren&rsquo;t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Sen, Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-PA), Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO), and Rep. Maggie Goodlander (D-NH) appeared in the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Fk9Gh3qwW4I&amp;lc=UgyBwqBWT145Umn3PYN4AaABAg\">video<\/a> and issued a message saying, &ldquo;You can refuse illegal orders.&rdquo; None, however, elaborated on what orders were considered unlawful.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Facts matter little, but the threat matters quite a bit,&rdquo; Slotkin said in her interview with <em>The New York Times<\/em>. &ldquo;The threat of legal action; the threat to your family; the threat to your staff; the threat to you.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Slotkin is the second senator to face an investigation regarding the video. Sen. Mark Kelly was <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/defense\/4406576\/hegseth-demotes-mark-kelly-issues-censure-seditious-six-video\/\">accused of violating two articles<\/a> of the Uniform Code of Military Justice by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who issued a letter of censure and a request to demote Kelly earlier this month.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Six weeks ago, Senator Mark Kelly &mdash; and five other members of Congress &mdash; released a reckless and seditious video that was clearly intended to undermine good order and military discipline,&rdquo; Hegseth <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SecWar\/status\/2008189258528665898\">said<\/a> in a post on X. &ldquo;As a retired Navy Captain who is still receiving a military pension, Captain Kelly knows he is still accountable to military justice. And the Department of War &mdash; and the American people &mdash; expect justice.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Therefore, in response to Senator Mark Kelly&rsquo;s seditious statements &mdash; and his pattern of reckless misconduct &mdash; the Department of War is taking administrative action against Captain Mark E. Kelly, USN (Ret),&rdquo; Hegseth added. &ldquo;The department has <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >initiated retirement grade determination proceedings<\/a> under 10 U.S.C. &sect; 1370(f), with reduction in his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pentagon-moves-to-demote-mark-kelly-for-seditious-video\/\" title=\"Pentagon Moves To Demote ...
