Contempt proceedings, lawmakers note, can range from a formal rebuke to actions that could ultimately involve arrest or incarceration. Bill Clinton has denied visiting epstein&#8217;s notorious island while expressing regret for associating with Epstein, though released documents discussed in media reports have drawn continued attention to possible links. regarding then-opponent Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it appears the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is making a similar threat &mdash; but for nothing having to do with Clinton&rsquo;s alleged handling of sensitive s.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/live-updates\/2026\/01\/09\/congress\/clintons-in-contempt-00719084\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a>, the House Oversight Committee is warning both Bill and Hillary Clinton that they could soon face contempt of Congress charges for failing to appear in a timely manner for closed-door depositions regarding disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They are obligated under the law to appear and we expect them to do so,&rdquo; request, the committee agreed to push the appearances into the new year, rescheduling Bill Clinton&rsquo;s testimony for Jan. 13 and Hillary Clinton&rsquo;s for Jan. 14 after the couple cited a conflict.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to the committee members, the &ldquo;Clintons have not confirmed their appearances for their subpoenaed depositions.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Bill Clinton has long denied that he ever visited the infamous island linked to Epstein, though he has expressed regret ever associating with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bail-fund-praised-by-kamala-harris-has-twice-freed-the-same-rioter-he-was-just-charged-again\/\" title=\"Bail Fund Praised By Kamala Harris Has Twice Freed The Same Rioter. He Was Just Charged Again.\">convicted sex offender<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Despite those denials, the trickle-out of the &ldquo;Epstein files&rdquo; has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/just-epstein-file-dump-features-bill-clinton-next-redacted-victims-minors-multiple-pics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">strongly linked<\/a> Clinton to the scandal.<\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/2025.08.05-Subpoena-Cover-Letters.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">subpoena letters<\/a> sent by the Oversight Committee in August 2025, Kentucky Rep.
