The ICE agent fired what the Department of Homeland Security&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TriciaOhio\/status\/2008957179793998266\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">described<\/a>&nbsp;as &ldquo;defensive shots.&rdquo; Notably, seconds before the shooting, law enforcement seemingly <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CollinRugg\/status\/2008977027312062893\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ordered Good to exit her vehicle<\/a> &mdash; but instead, she tried to flee.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1283629936\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Nonetheless, Democrats have recklessly rushed to issue a verdict, that is, that the shooting was &ldquo;murder.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>California Democrat Rep. Jimmy Gomez <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RepJimmyGomez\/status\/2009077084724031943?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> on X: &ldquo;This was the glove compartment of the mother your agents just murdered,&rdquo; alongside a photo of what is presumably the inside of Good&rsquo;s vehicle. Democrat New York Rep. Dan Goldman <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/danielsgoldman\/status\/2008982331063980527?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accused<\/a> Stephen Miller of &ldquo;inciting untrained thugs to murder Americans.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <span class=\"ytgTOzJC7L2UenwqHA\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Coordinated attacks? Jimmy Gomez (@RepJimmyGomez) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepJimmyGomez\/status\/2009077084724031943?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 8, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/HillaryClinton\/status\/2009271997612663014?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> in a post on X that &ldquo;an ICE agent murdered Renee Good,&rdquo; and that the Trump administration is sanctioning &ldquo;lawless violence.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Self-described comedian <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RapidResponse47\/status\/2009270499398893758?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> held up a t-shirt on air that read: &ldquo;Donald Trump Is Gonna Kill You&rdquo; before discussing the events in Minneapolis. New York City communist Mayor Zohran Mamdani&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NYCMayor\/status\/2009015792382390463?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">claimed<\/a>&nbsp;that &ldquo;an ICE agent murdered a woman in Minneapolis.&rdquo; Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Ilhan\/status\/2008994804043063640\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;the Trump administration was responsible for &ldquo;state violence.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Leftist influencer&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/harryjsisson\/status\/2008973160427995506?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Harry Sisson<\/a>&nbsp;posted, &ldquo;The ICE agent who shot that woman in the face and killed her in Minneapolis needs to be indicted on murder charges TODAY.&rdquo; Former MSNBC co-host <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/krystalball\/status\/2008956112872046989?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Krystal Ball<\/a>&nbsp;posted Wednesday morning that it was &ldquo;Looking like ICE thugs murdered an American protester.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The statements are particularly egregious given that ICE agents have been victims of a spike in political violence, with an &ldquo;ANTI-ICE&rdquo; gunman killing two detainees in September when he shot up an ICE vehicle<strong> &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/news\/2025\/09\/24\/dhs-issues-statement-targeted-attack-dallas-ice-facility\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">motivated by hatred for ICE<\/a>.&rdquo; <\/strong>Just two months prior, alleged Antifa members attacked a separate ICE facility in Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Given the extremely hostile scenario, calling an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-says-biggest-domestic-terror-threats-in-2021-are-violent-extremists-motivated-by-race-or-anti-authority-views\/\" title=\"FBI Says Biggest Domestic Terror Threats in 2021 Are Violent Extremists Motivated by Race or Anti...Authority Views\">officer-involved shooting<\/a> and apparent act of self-defense that is still under investigation &ldquo;murder&rdquo; is not merely a reckless accusation of wrongdoing. It is a declaration that the state itself is acting criminally. And if that assertion is true, it implies the state is illegitimate. By that logic, if murder charges are not brought, the justice system is complicit in a cover-up of violations by an illegitimate state. Suddenly, illegal obstruction of law enforcement and violent protesting begin to look justifiable or even like a moral obligation. <\/p>\n<p>Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BillMelugin_\/status\/2009339057676145055?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> Thursday, &ldquo;There are gonna be protests around this entire country because of the state sanctioned execution that we all saw.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Of course, protesting is protected free speech, but the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >left made clear<\/a> during the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020 just how dangerous their so-called &ldquo;peaceful&rdquo; protesting can be. Democrats accusing ICE of &ldquo;murder&rdquo; are not de-escalating tensions.
