Labor force participation slipped to 62.3%-under the U.S. average-and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-the-u-s-federal-government-fuels-child-smuggling-and-trafficking\/\" title=\"How The U.S. Federal Government Fuels Child Smuggling And Trafficking\">private-sector employment<\/a> in November remained about 14,000 jobs below its August peak. The state lost over 19,000 jobs in the service sector (notably leisure and hospitality, trade, transportation and utilities), while public-sector employment fell by about 6,700. Analysts warn these sectoral losses could ripple through the economy, exacerbating supply-chain pressures, inflationary effects, and lower consumer confidence. Hederman Jr., executive director of the Economic Research Center and vice president of policy at The Buckeye Institute. &ldquo;The belated November report confirms that Ohio&rsquo;s job market struggled in the fall of 2025, with private-sector employment falling since Labor Day and more Ohioans leaving the job market over the same period.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>More than 19,000 jobs were lost in the service-provider sector, with the bulk of those coming in leisure and hospitality, trade, transportation and utilities.
