Jim Baird of Indiana has been hospitalized after he and his wife, Danise, were involved in a car accident.<\/p>\n<p>The accident means the GOP House majority will narrow even further, at least temporarily, following an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-republican-congressman-doug-lamalfa-dies-suddenly-age-65\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announcement<\/a> Tuesday that Rep. Doug LaMalfa of California died suddenly at the age of 65.<\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump mentioned Baird&rsquo;s accident Tuesday during remarks that he delivered to Republican members of Congress at the newly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kennedy-center-performing-arts-getting-name-change-trumps-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">renamed<\/a> Donald J. Trump and John F.
