After the reported capture of Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, Trump said the U.S. would &#8220;run&#8221; Venezuela until a safe transition, a plan York calls questionable and &#8220;a reason for real concern,&#8221; arguing the management risks getting bogged down trying to rehabilitate the country. York says voters care far more about the economy and affordability than foreign policy,so focusing on venezuela could distract from the issues that matter moast in the midterms.He suggests the priority should be preventing foreign influence (notably China) from gaining a foothold, rather than managing every aspect of Venezuela&#8217;s government.
