The Minnesota Star Tribune later reported that five of the 10 centers visited by Shirley operated as meal sites for Feeding Our Future, the nonprofit at the center of an alleged $300 million fraud; those five received nearly $5 million between 2018 and 2021. Federal prosecutors have charged more than 70 people,mostly from the Somali community,accusing organizers and associated meal-site operators of submitting false or inflated meal counts for federal Child Nutrition Program reimbursements. The now-infamous Quality &ldquo;Learing&rdquo; Center was cited for <a href=\"https:\/\/licensinglookup.dhs.state.mn.us\/Details.aspx?l=1087038\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">121 violations<\/a> in the past three years, including for failing to report a &ldquo;death, serious injury, fire or emergency as required,&rdquo; according to The Minnesota Star Tribune.<\/p>\n<p>The paper&rsquo;s investigation found that six of the facilities featured by Shirley were either closed or employees did not open their doors.<\/p>\n<p>Following&nbsp;that expos&eacute;, which has accumulated more than 135 million views on X, the Trump administration announced it would freeze all childcare disbursements to Minnesota while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-forest-service-sparked-new-mexico-wildfire\/\" title=\"U.S. Forest Service ignited NM wildfire.\">federal officials review<\/a> how taxpayer dollars have flowed to licensed providers.<\/p>\n<p>The fraud allegations extend beyond childcare, with prosecutors claiming millions in taxpayer funds were also stolen from Minnesota&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/mn.gov\/dhs\/media\/news\/?id=1053-711321\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Housing Stabilization Services<\/a> and autism treatment programs. Federal prosecutors also estimate that as much as half of the roughly $18 billion Minnesota has spent since 2018 on 14 Medicaid programs may have been siphoned off by fraudsters.<\/p>\n<p>Even the state&rsquo;s assisted living program has come under scrutiny, with Republican state Rep.
