We are respected as a Country again.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/washington-secrets\/4362775\/trump-first-year-report-card-promise-keeper-or-nightmare-failure\/\">TRUMP FIRST YEAR REPORT CARD: A- PROMISE KEEPER OR &lsquo;NIGHTMARE&rsquo; FAILURE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contrary to Trump&rsquo;s claim of zero inflation, a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/news.release\/pdf\/cpi.pdf\">November report<\/a> from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed the current inflation rate stands at 2.7% year-over-year. The rate was lower than expected. Economists forecasted inflation would remain around 3%. While inflation has not disappeared, it also hasn&rsquo;t accelerated as it did under his predecessor, former President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Trump is also pleased with a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bea.gov\/news\/2025\/gross-domestic-product-3rd-quarter-2025-initial-estimate-and-corporate-profits\">new government report<\/a> that showed real gross domestic product increasing at an annual rate of 4.3% in the third quarter. The president attributed the GDP growth to his wide-ranging tariff policies.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The TARIFFS are responsible for the GREAT USA Economic Numbers JUST ANNOUNCED&hellip;AND THEY WILL ONLY GET BETTER! Also, NO INFLATION &amp; GREAT NATIONAL SECURITY,&rdquo; he <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/115769302680506780\">said<\/a> on Tuesday ahead of the Supreme Court&rsquo;s highly anticipated ruling on the legality of tariffs.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the promising figures, unemployment and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >living costs remain high<\/a> as economic issues are front of mind for Americans. Trump has boasted of how many government jobs are being killed, while private sector jobs are being created. He said that he could bring unemployment down if he wanted to by simply hiring more government workers.<\/p>\n<p>Public opinion on the state of the economy doesn&rsquo;t reflect well on Trump, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.economist.com\/interactive\/trump-approval-tracker\">according to<\/a> YouGov data consistently updated by the <em>Economist<\/em>. Trump has a net approval rating of -17%, both overall and economic, as he finishes out the year. Inflation\/prices is his worst-performing issue, which happens to be the most electorally decisive issue facing America today.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/world\/4362821\/zelensky-suggests-russia-is-planning-to-interfere-with-referendum-on-trump-peace-plan\/\">ZELENSKY SUGGESTS RUSSIA IS PLANNING TO INTERFERE WITH REFERENDUM ON TRUMP PEACE PLAN<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Conversely, Trump has better net approval numbers on immigration and national security. He alluded to both issues in another Truth Social post on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Crime in the United States is at its lowest levels on record. Much of that is attributable to the most successful Southern Border operation in history,&rdquo; he <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/115791772938559943\">wrote<\/a>. &ldquo;Also, there are more people working in the U.S. today than EVER before.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Touted by the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/white-house\/\">White House<\/a> earlier this week, new crime statistics show the national murder rate is at a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/4361772\/white-house-touts-historic-drop-murder-rate\/\">historic low<\/a> of more than 19% &mdash; the largest one-year drop in murders the nation has ever recorded. Part of the decrease in crime can be attributed to Trump&rsquo;s National Guard deployments in Washington, D.C., and other major cities in addition to federal immigration operations.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the illegal immigrants arrested by federal authorities this year were criminals. ICE said 70% had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges in the U.S., the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/immigration\/3916231\/seven-in-10-ice-arrests-under-trump-criminal-histories\/\">exclusively reported<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/economy\/4362763\/trump-midterm-elections-pricing-despite-calling-affordability-dead-issue\/\">TRUMP SAYS MIDTERM ELECTIONS WILL BE &lsquo;ABOUT PRICING&rsquo; DESPITE CALLING AFFORDABILITY A &lsquo;DEAD&rsquo; ISSUE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trump&rsquo;s claim that more people are working in the U.S. is also accurate based on recent data.
