The department&#8217;s X posts also warned that some released files contain &#8220;untrue and sensational claims&#8221; about President trump. Your answers please,&rdquo; in response to the department&rsquo;s X account. The post from the DOJ <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheJusticeDept\/status\/2003574944483901816\">insisted<\/a>, in Trump-esque all caps, that an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fact-check-did-shared-services-canada-send-this-memo-banning-employees-from-using-the-phrase-lets-go-brandon\/\" title=\"FACT CHECK: Did Shared Services Canada Send This Memo Banning Employees From Using The Phrase \u2018Let\u2019s Go Brandon\u2019?\">alleged letter<\/a> from financier Jeffrey Epstein to disgraced Olympic doctor Larry Nassar is &ldquo;FAKE.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheJusticeDept\/status\/2003832108377370945\">responded<\/a> to Dupree, saying, &ldquo;Because the law requires us to release all documents related to Jeffrey Epstein in our possession so that&rsquo;s what we are doing, you dope. Are you suggesting we break the law?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;DOJ did break the law by making illegal redactions and by missing the deadline,&rdquo; Massie chimed in on Wednesday over X, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RepThomasMassie\/status\/2003865874537828565\">adding<\/a>, &ldquo;By the way, who&rsquo;s controlling the DOJ X account on Christmas Eve and using words like &lsquo;dope&rsquo; to refer to reporters?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Jeffrey Epstein, March 28, 2017. (New York State Sex Offender Registry via AP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Earlier in the day, <em>Axios<\/em> co-founder Mike Allen reported in the outlet&rsquo;s morning newsletter that White House has begun managing the DOJ&rsquo;s X account, noting that the social media page is &ldquo;taking on a sharper tone with a more rapid-response campaign edge.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The allegations that the White House is directly running messaging for the DOJ come after the latest batch of Epstein documents <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/4356442\/doj-thousands-more-epstein-files-including-trump-name-flights-ghislaine-maxwell\/\">dropped on Tuesday<\/a>, with some mentioning President Donald Trump&rsquo;s name.<\/p>\n<p>In <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheJusticeDept\/status\/2003442658643988641?s=20\">an X post<\/a> announcing the document dump, the DOJ warned that the files contain &ldquo;untrue and sensational claims&rdquo; made against Trump. &ldquo;To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already,&rdquo; according to the department&rsquo;s X account.<\/p>\n<p>The purported 2019 letter between Epstein and Nassar, which was included in Tuesday&rsquo;s release of records, referenced Trump, claiming that &ldquo;our president shares our love of young, nubile girls.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/4357099\/fbi-confirms-alleged-epstein-nassar-letter-fake-doj-release-files\/\"><strong>FBI CONFIRMS ALLEGED EPSTEIN-NASSAR LETTER IS &lsquo;FAKE,&rsquo; AS DOJ REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO RELEASE FILES<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the DOJ, the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed the letter was fabricated, determining that the handwriting did not match Epstein&rsquo;s writing style. The letter was also postmarked three days after Epstein died, plus the postmark originated in northern Virginia, whereas Epstein was jailed in New York, the DOJ&rsquo;s X account said. Additionally, the return address reportedly did not list the jail where Epstein was held nor include his inmate number, a requirement for outgoing mail.<\/p>\n<p>The trove of documents was originally posted on Monday but then taken down, only to be reposted hours later.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the DOJ missed the statutory deadline set by the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Trump <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3891771\/trump-signs-epstein-files-release-bill\/\">signed into law<\/a>. Instead, the DOJ released <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/4067930\/justice-department-releases-first-round-epstein-files\/\">the first round<\/a> of documents, many of them <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/multimedia\/DOJ%20Disclosures\/First%20Phase%20of%20Declassified%20Epstein%20Files\/D.%20Masseuse%20List%20(Redacted).pdf\">heavily redacted<\/a>, that day.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/4212172\/massie-inherent-contempt-bondi-epstein-files\/\"><strong>MASSIE THREATENS TO BRING INHERENT CONTEMPT AGAINST BONDI TO FORCE FULL EPSTEIN FILES RELEASE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Massie, one of the bill&rsquo;s co-sponsors, railed against Attorney General Pam Bondi for her department&rsquo;s bungled release of the Epstein files.
