Jeff Landry (R\u2011LA) announced, with the mission set to run through February 2026. Landry said he had requested the support earlier this year and called the deployment necessary to help crack down on violence during the city&#8217;s busiest season. Landry, who enjoys a close relationship with the president, welcomed the opportunity and clarified that it &ldquo;in no way affects&rdquo; his position as Louisiana governor.
