Datoc noted that even though Trump started his presidency with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-will-deliver-first-speech-to-congress-in-nearly-empty-house-chamber\/\" title=\"Biden Will Deliver First Speech To Congress In Nearly-Empty ... Chamber\">high approval ratings<\/a>,his approval on economic handling has dropped considerably,with only 33% of U.S. adults approving according to a recent Reuters-Ipsos poll. This decline poses a serious challenge for Republicans aiming to maintain their majority in Congress. Key issues such as rising costs of food, energy, consumer goods, and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >housing remain major voter concerns<\/a>. number for the president, the White House, and Republicans&rsquo; hopes of maintaining their majority in Congress is Trump&rsquo;s economic polling.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Just 33% of adults in the United States approve of the president&rsquo;s handling of the economy, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us\/trumps-approval-rating-slips-39-economy-weighs-reutersipsos-poll-finds-2025-12-16\/\"><em>Reuters<\/em>-Ipsos poll<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Datoc highlighted that this is a 12-point dip from when Trump entered office.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is supposed to be the issue, along with immigration, that really sets him apart. Not only from <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\">Joe Biden <\/a>and <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/kamala-harris\/\">Kamala Harris<\/a> but really from any other Republican that has been in D.C. for the better part of this millennium,&rdquo; he said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Datoc said it will be a &ldquo;nightmare&rdquo; for Republicans if Trump can&rsquo;t convince voters that he&rsquo;s &ldquo;the guy you need in Washington&rdquo; to lower prices and increase wages.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The cost of food is up, the cost of energy is up, the cost of consumer technologies are up,&rdquo; Datoc said. &ldquo;These are things we use every single day, and I&rsquo;m not even getting to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hidden-homeless-more-people-living-in-vehicles-due-to-covid-hardships\/\" title=\"\u2018Hidden Homeless\u2019: More People Living In Vehicles Due To COVID Hardships\">housing crisis<\/a> yet.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3924577\/major-bipartisan-bill-to-counter-housing-crisis-advances-in-house\/\"><strong>MAJOR BIPARTISAN BILL TO COUNTER HOUSING CRISIS ADVANCES IN HOUSE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, Datoc gave Trump &ldquo;a little bit of credit&rdquo; on the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/housing\/\">housing crisis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They do appear to be trying to put together some type of new housing plan to unveil to voters in January, but it might be a little too late,&rdquo; he said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Datoc said Trump is &ldquo;almost&rdquo; sending the same message to voters about the economy, telling them to &ldquo;hang on.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Datoc said Trump promised on the campaign trail to lower prices on Day One to their pre-pandemic spike.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/daily-memo\/3926842\/trumps-economic-campaign\/\"><strong>TRUMP&rsquo;S ECONOMIC CAMPAIGN<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Through his first year in office, inflation has stagnated, but none of those other things have necessarily come to fruition, and voters want results now,&rdquo;
