But if that&rsquo;s true, then why do so many of them keep fantasizing about harming their conservative opponents?<\/p>\n<p>The latest incident showcasing the left&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/leftist-violence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">penchant for violence<\/a> involves Michigan Democrat Mallory McMorrow, who got busted on video dreaming about harming Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. McMorrow currently serves as majority whip in the state Senate and is running in the Democrat primary to succeed Sen. Gary Peters in the U.S. Senate. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-146277013\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/townhallcom\/status\/2001727745919680652?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clip<\/a> published by Townhall Media, McMorrow can be seen taking questions at what appears to be a campaign event. The Michigan Democrat is asked by one attendee whether she believes there&rsquo;s &ldquo;any sense&rdquo; in &ldquo;writing&rdquo; or &ldquo;calling&rdquo; the Supreme Court, presumably about ongoing and contentious legal matters. <\/p>\n<p>In her response, McMorrow said that, &ldquo;as a Notre Dame grad,&rdquo; she is disgusted &ldquo;on a personal level&rdquo; that Barrett graduated and taught at the university&rsquo;s law school. After detailing a conversation she reportedly had with an associate of hers &mdash; who allegedly saw Barrett &ldquo;with Brett Kavanaugh at a tailgate last weekend&rdquo; &mdash; the Senate candidate then openly fantasized about chucking beers at the two originalist justices. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I was like, &lsquo;I would not be able to control myself,&rsquo;&rdquo; McMorrow said. &ldquo;There would be beers thrown in peoples&rsquo; faces.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <span class=\"baxKDj3rV1ZsfiqN280UMCX5SgpJI7lywnR4YGk\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#128680;WATCH: Democrat Candidate for Senate in Michigan Mallory McMorrow says that she would not be able to stop herself from hurling cans of beer at Amy Coney Barrett &amp; Brett Kavanaugh if she saw them in public.<\/p>\n<p>Despicable! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aQTsPBnvQC\">pic.twitter.com\/aQTsPBnvQC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Townhall.com (@townhallcom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/townhallcom\/status\/2001727745919680652?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 18, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Unfortunately, leftist threats against conservative members of the Supreme Court are not a new phenomenon. <\/p>\n<p>In spring 2020, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer took the steps of the high court to threaten Kavanaugh and Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rev.com\/blog\/transcripts\/chuck-schumer-pro-abortion-rally-speech-transcript-says-kavanaugh-gorsuch-will-pay-the-price\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">telling<\/a> the two judges that they would &ldquo;pay the price&rdquo; and &ldquo;won&rsquo;t know what hit [them]&rdquo; if they didn&rsquo;t rule the way he wanted them to on an abortion-related case. As The Federalist&rsquo;s Mollie Hemingway previously&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/16\/while-kbj-enjoys-broadway-her-constitution-loving-supreme-court-colleagues-can-barely-leave-their-homes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a>, that moment came years after left-wing &ldquo;mobs took over Capitol rooms and buildings and pounded on the doors to the Supreme Court shouting, &lsquo;Burn it to the ground!&rsquo;&rdquo; during Kavanaugh&rsquo;s contentious 2018 confirmation hearings.<\/p>\n<p>The left&rsquo;s threatening rhetoric and behavior against the court&rsquo;s conservative justices got even worse following the leak of SCOTUS&rsquo;s 2022 <em>Dobbs<\/em> draft opinion overturning <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In an apparent effort to intimidate the <em>Dobbs<\/em> majority into changing their votes, left-wing anarchists showed up at the doorsteps of these justices&rsquo; homes. One Democrat-aligned group even went as far as to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/14\/john-roberts-refusal-to-release-dobbs-opinion-is-jeopardizing-the-lives-of-his-colleagues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prod<\/a> its members to target Barrett&rsquo;s children and church. <\/p>\n<p>Then-Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Biden Justice Department&rsquo;s declination to bring charges against these apparent violations of federal law culminated in the attempted assassination of Kavanaugh. The judge (Deborah Boardman) overseeing the would-be assassin&rsquo;s trial <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/10\/04\/biden-judge-gives-would-be-kavanaugh-assassin-light-sentence-as-left-wing-violence-skyrockets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">handed down<\/a> a far lighter sentence (just eight years) than what prosecutors were seeking for the attempted murder (at least 30 years to life in prison).<\/p>\n<p>McMorrow is hardly the only Democrat seeking higher office to fantasize about harming her political opponents.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, unearthed communications between Virginia Democrat Jay Jones and a state House delegate <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/10\/03\/virginia-dem-ag-candidate-fantasized-about-assassinating-republican-wished-death-on-his-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">showed<\/a> Jones previously fantasizing about assassinating the commonwealth&rsquo;s then-Republican House speaker and the death of his children. Despite these horrific revelations, Virginia voters <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/11\/04\/after-assassination-fantasies-virginia-elects-democrat-jay-jones-as-attorney-general\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">elected<\/a> Jones to become their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/read-it-29-sheriffs-promise-to-safeguard-second-amendment-as-biden-cracks-down-on-gun-rights\/\" title=\"READ IT: 29 Sheriffs Promise To Safeguard Second Amendment As Biden Cracks Down On Gun Rights\">chief law enforcement officer<\/a> (attorney general) during the state&rsquo;s November elections.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
