Vance as a sign of &ldquo;underlying tension&rdquo; in President Donald Trump&rsquo;s administration.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, The New York Times cited a comment Vance directed toward Secretary of State <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/report-rubio-views-vance-2028-gop-frontrunner-plans-support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marco Rubio<\/a>. Vance and Rubio&rsquo;s names often come up in conversations about who might win the 2028 Republican presidential nomination. Do we really have to break down the jocular element, sometimes known as &ldquo;ribbing&rdquo;?<\/p>\n<p>One wonders how liberals managed to alienate so many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harris-enlists-will-ferrell-yell-obscenities-male-voters-eve-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">male voters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>More broadly, Wiles did give an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fact-check-cnns-don-lemon-says-nikki-haley-isnt-in-her-prime\/\" title=\"FACT CHECK: CNN&#039;s Don Lemon Says Nikki Haley &#039;Isn&#039;t in Her Prime&#039;\">ill-advised interview<\/a> with Vanity Fair. In fact, she said so many shockingly derogatory things about her colleagues in the Trump administration that she has since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-chief-staff-susie-wiles-issues-statement-stunning-d-c-friendly-fire-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posted a statement<\/a> on the social media platform X accusing the magazine of writing a hit piece and excluding crucial context.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jd-vance-responds-controversial-susie-wiles-interview-sometimes-conspiracy-theorist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vance<\/a> has already defused the situation&rsquo;s awkwardness. He did so, however, while sending a subtle message that Wiles, often associated with the Republican establishment, should remember that the Republican base elected Trump to enact a populist, America First agenda.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times, of course, may analyze the Trump administration&rsquo;s internal dynamics to its heart&rsquo;s content. Gavin Newsom of California, qualify as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/wildfire-victim-catches-gavin-newsom-off-guard-raises-pressure-first-question-staggers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pathological liars<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Who can forget, for instance, in August, when Newsom interpreted receipt of a &ldquo;Trump 2028&rdquo; hat not as an act of trolling but as proof of Trump&rsquo;s &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ice-could-arrest-california-police-who-enforce-no-mask-law-fahey\/\" title=\"ICE could arrest California police who enforce no-mask law: Fahey\">authoritarian tendencies&#038;rdquo<\/a>;?
