Ilhan omar&#8217;s claim that ICE officers pulled over her son in Minnesota. Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons stated there is no record of such an incident, calling Omar&#8217;s accusation baseless and harmful to <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >law enforcement morale amid rising threats<\/a> against officers. Lyons emphasized that ICE enforcement is based on reasonable suspicion related to immigration status, not racial profiling, which he categorically denied. In response, Omar&#8217;s spokeswoman maintained that ICE did stop Omar&#8217;s son and accused the agency of failing to keep proper records. Omar herself said in a CBS interview that federal officers stopped her son after a Target visit,asking for identification,which he provided through his passport,leading to his release. Law enforcement uses &lsquo;reasonable suspicion&rsquo; to make arrests, as allowed under the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In response to Lyons&rsquo;s statement, Omar&rsquo;s spokeswoman insisted that ICE had pulled over Omar&rsquo;s son and accused ICE of failing to keep accurate records.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The congresswoman&rsquo;s son and others were pulled over by ICE, racially profiled, and forced to prove their citizenship with a passport,&rdquo; Omar&rsquo;s spokeswoman wrote in an email Tuesday morning. &ldquo;ICE has long operated as a rogue agency beyond reform. It&rsquo;s no surprise that an agency known for disappearing people also can&rsquo;t keep its records straight.
