In the episode, the main character Tommy Norris, played by billy Bob Thornton, describes *The View* as &#8220;a bunch of pissed-off millionaires complaining about how much they hate millionaires, Donald Trump, men, and everyone else.&#8221; central character Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) attempts to calm down his father figure, T.L. It&rsquo;s pretty funny.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Don&rsquo;t sound funny,&rdquo; T.L. responds.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Well, it ain&rsquo;t &lsquo;joke&rsquo; funny, it&rsquo;s like &lsquo;fart in church&rsquo; funny, you know what I mean?&rdquo; Norris replies.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor Sheridan, who occasionally directs episodes, created and wrote the series, though he did not direct this most recent episode. Former <em>The View<\/em> host <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/meghan-mccain\/\">Meghan McCain <\/a>responded to the tease.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I love Taylor Sheridian,&rdquo; McCain <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MeghanMcCain\/status\/2000319925681090933?s=20\">wrote on X Sunday<\/a> along with a laughing emoji.<\/p>\n<p>Thornton appeared on <em>The View <\/em>in November 2024, days after Trump won the presidential election and days before the <em>Landman<\/em> series premiere. Earlier this month, a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/landmanpplus\/status\/1997029342023393447?s=20\">third season was confirmed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Landman<\/em> is Sheridan&rsquo;s fourth dramatic series since 2018, which, up until <em>Landman<\/em>, had largely been historical dramas. This latest series has a contemporary setting.
