[Kathy] Hochul must immediately revoke these illegally issued licenses. If they refuse to follow the law, we will withhold federal highway funding.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Hochul&rsquo;s office did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation&rsquo;s request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;New York must act immediately to comprehensively audit its CDL program and revoke every single illegally issued licenses,&rdquo; Derek Barrs, administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, added in the same press release.<\/p>\n<p>The release specified that the state &ldquo;has 30 days to respond to FMCSA&rsquo;s enforcement action.&rdquo; FMCSA is an agency within the Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m going to give New York 30 days, because that&rsquo;s what the law requires to come into compliance with the rules that have been long standing at the Department of Transportation,&rdquo; Duffy also said at the press conference. &ldquo;If they come into compliance, we&rsquo;re going to work with them. If New York refuses to come into compliance, because Kathy Hochul, for some reason, believes that we should have unqualified truck drivers on American roadways.
