The nation&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >top law enforcement official decided<\/a> that he didn&rsquo;t have to obey the law and answer a subpoena in 2012 over the Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal. He was held in contempt of Congress, but didn&rsquo;t go to jail.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/lois-lerner-irs-mccain-tea-party\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lois Lerner<\/a>, the Internal Revenue Service official behind the blacklisting of various conservative groups, was also found in contempt of Congress, but the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia under Obama <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/kellyphillipserb\/2015\/04\/01\/lois-lerner-escapes-criminal-contempt-charges-no-waiver-of-fifth-amendment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">decided<\/a> against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dems-ask-doj-to-help-lawyer-found-to-have-falsified-science-bribed-judge-to-shake-down-oil-company\/\" title=\"Dems Ask DOJ To Help ...yer Found To Have Falsified Science, Bribed Judge To Shake Down Oil Company\">criminal contempt charges<\/a> in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>And it wasn&rsquo;t just the Obama administration.
