The shooter, identified as 29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, critically injured the soldiers-who were voluntarily working on Thanksgiving-at the Farragut West Metro Station. Bondi emphasized that charges will depend on the victims&#8217; recovery and highlighted that the investigation is ongoing, wiht her national security team working swiftly to bring justice.<\/p>\n<p>Bondi also criticized Democratic lawmakers for their harsh remarks about National Guard deployments, accusing them of disrespecting the troops and potentially inciting violence. The two injured Guardsmen were identified as Andrew Wolfe, 24, and Sarah Beckstrom, 20.
