He instructed the Education Department to issue a similar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ed.gov\/about\/news\/press-release\/us-department-of-education-directs-schools-end-racial-preferences?utm_source=Do+No+Harm+newsletters&amp;utm_campaign=cb2009a188-_CAMPAIGN_2025_03_03_05_06&amp;utm_medium=&amp;utm_term=0_-cb2009a188-745777118\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">directive<\/a>&nbsp;shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>It warned educational institutions about failure to comply with the new standards, saying that noncompliance could result in an investigation and loss of federal funding.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;With this guidance, the Trump Administration is directing schools to end the use of racial preferences and race stereotypes in their programs and activities&ndash; a victory for justice, civil rights laws, and the Constitution,&rdquo; said Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Craig Trainor.<\/p>\n<p>He added, &ldquo;For decades, schools have been operating on the pretext that selecting students for &lsquo;diversity&rsquo; or similar euphemisms is not selecting them based on race. No longer. Students should be assessed according to merit, accomplishment, and character &mdash; not prejudged by the color of their skin. The Office for Civil Rights will enforce that commitment.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Many schools have shuttered their DEI departments for this very reason, yet Temple appears to be sidestepping the White House and Justice Department.<\/p>\n<p>The Center for Accountability in Medicine &ndash; a project affiliated with the group Do No Harm &mdash; commented on Temple&rsquo;s actions and accused schools of being addicted to DEI practices.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Racial favoritism is a drug that many medical schools can&rsquo;t seem to quit,&rdquo; project Director Ian Kingsbury said, according to The Center Square.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Whether it&rsquo;s defying the Supreme Court&rsquo;s decision on affirmative action or defying executive orders on DEI, these institutions seem to have no regard for the law or popular will,&rdquo; he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Temple is not the first academic institution to partake in this type of verbal gymnastics in an effort to keep their radical curriculum alive.<\/p>\n<p>A June <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecollegefix.com\/nearly-90-universities-have-rebranded-their-dei-offices-college-fix-survey-finds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> from The College Fix <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1AzRSUdnK312lA9LMZEd8SppU8UzRrExNep-YBTrioFQ\/edit?pli=1&amp;gid=0#gid=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revealed<\/a> nearly 90 universities have renamed &mdash; or rebranded &mdash; their DEI offices, yet &ldquo;kept a lot of the same employees and goals. In some cases, there were some staff reassignments and other bureaucratic shuffling, such as integration into other departments.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The College Fix survey drew from news reports, press releases, and institutional websites and found that over the last two years, &ldquo;at least 87 schools effectively renamed their DEI offices.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>This is to be expected. The classroom is the new battleground. Liberals and far-left radical educators won&rsquo;t simply lie down after decades of indoctrination. If they cannot groom future generations by preaching division, anger, and hate, their base will likely dry up.<\/p>\n<p>If colleges were to lose their grip on divisive and politically charged lesson plans, thousands of liberal foot soldiers would also lose their jobs.<\/p>\n<p>More importantly, however, young people would start waking up and realize they&rsquo;ve been duped out of a small fortune. And for what?
