He entered the U.S. in 2021 under the Biden administration&#8217;s &#8220;Operation Allies Welcome&#8221; initiative. Lakanwal previously worked for several U.S.government entities, including the CIA, as part of a partner force in Kandahar, Afghanistan. CIA Director john Ratcliffe confirmed Lakanwal&#8217;s government associations and criticized the decision to allow him into the U.S., citing concerns about security following the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. the two National Guard members were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/explosion-in-nyc-housing-complex-leaves-at-least-10-injured\/\" title=\"Explosion in NYC housing complex leaves at least 10 injured\">critically injured<\/a> and treated at local hospitals, tho there were conflicting reports about their survival. Both victims were reportedly in critical condition and being treated at nearby hospitals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump posted about the shooting on his Truth Social account on Wednesday afternoon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The animal that shot the two National Guardsmen, with both being critically wounded, and now in two separate hospitals, is also severely wounded, but regardless, will pay a very steep price,&rdquo; <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/115617866419112089\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> Trump. &ldquo;God bless our Great National Guard, and all of our Military and Law Enforcement. These are truly Great People.
