The judge ruled that Halligan&#8217;s appointment was defective since she was not approved by the relevant district judges, making all actions from her office unlawful and invalid. Although both Comey and James celebrated the dismissal, legal expert Jonathan Turley emphasized that the decision dose not declare their innocence but rather points to a procedural flaw in the prosecution&#8217;s authority. I remain fearless in the face of these baseless charges as I continue fighting for New Yorkers every single day.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>However, Turley told Fox News regarding the ruling, &ldquo;Letitia James might be celebrating a tad too early. The problems here are not with the charges themselves, but essentially with the cop, or in this case, the prosecutor. So the court is not saying that she was innocent of these charges.
