The lawmakers featured include Senators Mark Kelly and Elissa Slotkin,and Representatives Chris Deluzio,Maggie goodlander,Chrissy Houlahan,and Jason Crow,all of whom have military or intelligence backgrounds. In the video, they warned that threats to the U.S. Constitution come not only from abroad but also domestically, emphasizing the legal right and duty to disobey unlawful orders. President Trump responded by labeling their actions as &#8220;seditious behavior, punishable by death.&#8221; The Department of War criticized the video, calling it reckless and harmful to military discipline, and noted that while most participants are no longer subject to military law, Kelly, a retired Navy Commander, remains under the uniform Code of Military Justice and is under review for possible disciplinary action. Kelly defended his statements, reaffirming his commitment to the Constitution and rejecting attempts to intimidate him. Chris Deluzio of Pennsylvania, Maggie Goodlander of New Hampshire, Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania, and Jason Crow of Colorado, all of whom identified themselves as veterans of the military or intelligence agencies in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democrats-accused-encouraging-military-coup-coordinated-message-armed-services-personnel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We want to speak directly to members of the military and intelligence community,&rdquo; they began.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens &hellip; Right now, the threats to our Constitution aren&rsquo;t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home. Our laws are clear; you can refuse illegal orders. &hellip; You must refuse illegal orders. Encouraging our warriors to ignore the orders of their Commanders undermines every aspect of &lsquo;good order and discipline.&rsquo; Their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/slotkin-and-other-democrats-are-31-flavors-of-stupid-joe-concha\/\" title=\"Slotkin and other Democrats are &#039;31 flavors of stupid&#039;: Joe Concha\">foolish screed sows doubt<\/a> and confusion &mdash; which only puts our warriors in danger.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Five of the six individuals in that video do not fall under @DeptofWar jurisdiction (one is CIA and four are former military but not &ldquo;retired&rdquo;, so they are no longer subject to UCMJ [Uniform Code of Military Justice]). However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democratic-senator-appears-threaten-military-amid-mark-kelly-investigation-will-consequences\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark Kelly<\/a> (retired Navy Commander) is still subject to UCMJ&mdash;and he knows that,&rdquo; he continued.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;As was announced, the Department is reviewing his statements and actions, which were addressed directly to all troops while explicitly using his rank and service affiliation &mdash; lending the appearance of authority to his words. Personnel to Defy Trump\">military retirees remain subject<\/a> to the UCMJ for applicable offenses, and federal laws such as 18 U.S.C. &sect; <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >2387 prohibit actions intended<\/a> to interfere with the loyalty, morale, or good order and discipline of the armed forces. Any violations will be addressed through appropriate legal channels.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;All servicemembers are reminded that they have a legal obligation under the UCMJ to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful.
