Previously disclosed evidence proved that James had never lived at the property and that she&rsquo;d in fact rented it out to her niece.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mrddmia\/status\/1991906047997489189\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Another exhibit<\/a> contained James&rsquo; homeowner&rsquo;s insurance application, in which the New York Attorney General had alleged that the Norfolk home remained unoccupied five months out of the year.<\/p>\n<p>This, too, was false, as James&rsquo; niece was found to be living at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/letitia-no-ones-law-james-reportedly-housing-fugitive-relative-home-allegedly-purchased-fraud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Norfolk home<\/a> all year round.<\/p>\n<p>A third exhibit contained another insurance application in which James had falsely asserted that the Norfolk home was occupied by a single, childless adult.<\/p>\n<p>The home was in fact occupied by four people, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/police-repeatedly-called-house-center-letitia-james-legal-troubles-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wild niece<\/a> and three children.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">In another insurance application, James claimed that the Norfolk house was occupied by a single adult, with no children.<\/p>\n<p>She knew that the house was actually occupied by four people &ndash; her niece, and three children. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/erg8BTrtyb\">pic.twitter.com\/erg8BTrtyb<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; &#127482;&#127480; Mike Davis &#127482;&#127480; (@mrddmia) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mrddmia\/status\/1991906050346266711?\">November 21, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The documents filed Thursday also included blurbs laying out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-new-york-attorney-general-letitia-james-indicted-fraud-charge-ap-source-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Halligan&rsquo;s case<\/a> against James.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Defendant&rsquo;s actions show she knew the [Norfolk] residence was not a secondary residence, but rather an investment property,&rdquo; one blurb read. &ldquo;Defendant stayed in hotels during visits to Norfolk despite representing that the [Norfolk] residence was her secondary residence.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is because the home was not treated as her secondary home at all.
